In today’s tech class, we came in contact with lots of fancy gadgets, we did this project together as a group of 4. We learned how to record sounds using microphones in Garage-band, a little choir project is pasted above. Something I learned was that microphone pick up almost everything, so background noise of people laughing can sometimes be heard.
A little self reflection would be; if i were to make some recordings using microphones, I would choose a room or studio-like environment to complete my project.
in terms of using these equipment in a music classroom, the pros would be: “COOL” for students to engage with, students learn with one of the most updated technology and explore music through a digital approach.
cons would be it would have pressure on the school’s budget, technology goes out of date, new gadgets releases every year, and high maintenance especially if students lacks the ability to take care of these instruments.
